Malaysia is the rotating chair of ASEAN this year. Anwar said that ASEAN should strengthen economic cooperation with China, the Gulf Cooperation Council, BRICS countries and other emerging economies, and promote ASEAN to strengthen economic resilience, attract more investment and play a more active role in the construction of the global governance framework through diversified economic cooperation.

He suggested that ASEAN and China could strengthen technical cooperation, promote sustainable development and enhance human capital training in the future. He hopes that by strengthening cooperation with China in the above areas, ASEAN can keep up with the development trend of the digital economy, enhance cooperation with China in the fields of renewable energy and green economy, and improve the quality of ASEAN's labor force.

Anwar said that Malaysia will further deepen its role in ASEAN and strengthen cooperation with China.
