
The BRICS Special Economic Zone China Cooperation Center Work Promotion Meeting was held in Hangzhou on March 21. At the meeting, the cooperation center was officially unveiled.

In his speech, Zhan Xiaoning, Chairman of the World Investment Promotion Agency, said that the global economy is entering a new stage, and special economic zones have become an important engine of global economic growth and a hub for innovative development. The official landing of the BRICS Special Economic Zone China Cooperation Center in Hangzhou is an important milestone in the history of BRICS cooperation, and also reflects China's active role in promoting multilateral cooperation.
Winston, Deputy Consul General of Brazil in Shanghai, the rotating presidency of the BRICS, said in his speech that today's global governance requires more innovative mechanisms. During Brazil's term in office, it will start from six major areas to promote cooperation among BRICS countries, including artificial intelligence governance, investment, trade, finance and other fields. It is believed that the China Cooperation Center for BRICS Special Economic Zones will become an important platform for economic and trade cooperation and exchanges between BRICS countries and China.
Zhejiang is a major economic province in China, famous for its digital economy, advanced manufacturing and private economy. In 2024, Zhejiang's trade with other BRICS countries will reach 1.43 trillion yuan; other BRICS countries are also key areas for Zhejiang's foreign investment, with more than 3,000 companies established.
