In the 45 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Colombia, the economic and trade exchanges between the two sides have achieved remarkable results. Colombia is my country's fifth largest trading partner in Latin America, and my country has maintained its position as Colombia's second largest trading partner for many years. According to customs statistics, in the first four months of this year, China's imports and exports to Colombia increased by 8.5% year-on-year, reaching a record high in the same period in history, and the growth rate was 6.1 percentage points higher than my country's overall imports and exports.
In recent years, the quality of bilateral relations between China and Colombia has been upgraded, economic and trade exchanges have become increasingly close, and agricultural product cooperation has continued to deepen, which has effectively promoted the rapid expansion of China-Colombia trade. With the development of bilateral trade, more high-quality specialty products from Colombia have entered the Chinese market, and Colombia has become China's third largest source of coffee and fresh cut flowers.
